Marionette Serment is a girl with her head in the clouds: she loves reading so much that she scarcely pays attention to the real world. Hoping to bring her back to reality, her grandmother decided, quite out of the blue, to hand over one of her many holdings, a bookstore known as the "Page Blanche", to her high school-age granddaughter.
Marionette is understandably reluctant, but when she sets foot in the store only to be immediately drawn into a world full of fantastical books that thrive on human emotions, and meets a handsome raven-haired boy with a mysterious smile who works as its manager, she realizes her life will never be normal again.
